Tai Chi Ch’uan, translated as “Supreme Ultimate Boxing”, is a system of exercise and internal martial art, based upon the core principles of relaxation, balance and effortless breathing. Participants will learn Professor Cheng Man-ch’ing’s 37-posture form.

When practiced regularly and according to the principles, Tai Chi imparts multiple benefits including, but not limited to:
  • development of deep concentration skills
  • regulation of blood pressure
  • improved balance and coordination
  • stress management
  • improved posture
  • increased bone density
  • improved flexibility
  • opportunity for profound personal growth & development
Instruction is focused on Principles, development of kinesthetic awareness and correct execution of the 37 postures.

During class, it is expected that each student practice good self care including adequate intake of water, a respect for one’s own physical challenges/limitations; resting when needed and ‘stretching’ to realize new potentials.
